Patriotic Chalkboard Paper Bunting

I have joined up with more than 30 AMAZING bloggers to tackle the challenge of creating a patriotic project or recipe without using the traditional color scheme. How fun is that?! Starting last week and running through July 4th, more than 30 projects will be shared on some of the most awesome blogs around.  I can’t wait to see all of the inspirational projects and hope YOU will find some inspiration as well.

Summer is BUSY for most of us {especially if you are a mama} so I wanted something quick & easy that didn’t require a lot of craftiness so anyone could do it. Well, I came up with the PERFECT no crafty skills required, non-traditional color scheme project…a Patriotic Chalkboard Paper Bunting! *Bonus you can actually erase this and use these flags for something else! Gotta love that!

You can get a pad of chalkboard banner flags by Recollections at Michaels.

Simply rip the flags off the pad, (They are already hole punched for you!) grab some chalk, and draw away!

I wrote out Let Freedom Ring and drew some stars & stripes.

After you have your design, string your flags on some baker’s twine. (The pad comes with some twine but it isn’t enough for this long banner!) This Patriotic Chalkboard Paper Bunting is such a quick & easy decoration for a backyard BBQ! Seriously, you could whip this bad boy out the day of and never break a sweat!

Now, before you head out, be sure to check out the AMAZING projects that were shared last week AND be sure to enter for your chance to win a $310 Target Gift Card by using the Rafflecopter at the end of the post!

What a pretty banner! I saw the paper at Michaels but never thought how you could change it up just by erasing! Gotta love that! Would love for you to share it or any other DIY at our link party please (on my blog). Hope you have a great week, Shelly!
