Even though the weather isn’t quite cooperating, I’m ready for spring! There is something so sweet about spring and this year I want my spring décor to reflect the sweet side of spring. Today, I’m sharing my Spring Chalk Painted Mason Jars and Wooden Tags.
To make my spring chalk painted mason jars, I used two coats of pure white chalk paint. Once the paint was dry I scuffed off a little of the paint with a high grit sandpaper to give them a distressed look. Nothing says spring like soft yellow (baby chicks and ducklings anyone?) so I used Martha’s craft paint in Jonquil on my wooden tags. After the yellow dried, I mixed together a charcoal grey to paint 05.01, 12.12, & 01.05 on the tags. Those are my boys’ birthdays and there is nothing sweeter than my boys.
I attached the tags to my jars with some blue and white bakers twine.
I adore daisies! They are perfectly sweet for spring! These little jars make me smile every time I look at them.
How are you decorating for spring this year? With brights, sweet soft pastels like me, or something totally different?
