Ash is a big Angry Bird fan so when it came time for Valentines what did he want? Angry Birds of course! I had seen these at Brassy Apple and thought they would be cute but of course Ash didn’t want the red or yellow bird he wanted Ice Bird. So I whipped out the Silhouette and Googled a picture of Ice Bird for inspiration.
In the Silhouette program, I drew the head (front, back, with a rectangle connecting the two sides together).
Then I created the beak by tweaking a rectangle, two eyes, & 2 eye brows.
I used some easy stick tape stuff to attach the beak to the front of the head.
Then the eyes
And lastly the eyebrows
I used an ultra fine point Sharpie to draw a line to separate the top & bottom beaks.
Then Ice Bird has slightly crossed eyes so I drew some crazy looking eyeballs.
Then I folded the front and back pieces up like so
A hole punched in the connecting piece for the lollipop stick to poke through.
Some more easy stick tape to glue to tops of the front and back of the head together I used a paper clip to hold the two pieces together to give the tape some time to glue the two pieces together but then they popped apart so I took out my glue gun and hot glued those bad boys together and now I can happily say that they are sticking together nicely.
Presto! One “Angry” Valentine! The best part was the reaction they got from all the Dolen boys (even the biggest one!) they were really impressed with my Angry Bird skills.
If you have a Silhouette, a big Angry Bird fan who wants Ice Bird Valentines, and you’d like to make these without having to create everything yourself let me know and I’ll e-mail you my templates. These were really quick & easy to put together. All you need is your pieces and some good trash TV (I recommend anything on Bravo) and you could whip out all the valentines your kiddo needs in less time than it takes the Real Housewives to have some drama!
